The New National Certificate Programmes

From the beginning of the 2007 academic year, FET Colleges in the Limpopo Province will be ready to offer the 11 National Certificate Programmes that have been developed nationally with organised Commerce and Industry.

An interesting feature of the new National Certificate Programmes is that each year is distinct and linked to the NQF. A student will therefore be issued with a certificate of successful completion of each level of study.

These programmes are the:

National Certificate: Office Administration
This certificate will qualify successful graduates to seek employment as: Accounts Officer, Bookkeeper, Administrative Officer, Company Secretary, Freight Forwarder, Hospital Administrator, Human Resource Manager, Legal Secretary, Personal Assistant, to mention but a few!

National Certificate: Marketing
This certificate will qualify successful graduates to access careers in: Marketing, Market Research, Product Development,Public Relations Practitioner, Purchasing Management, Customer Relations, Sales Management, and more!

National Certificate: Finance, Economics and Accounting
This certificate will qualify successful graduates to access careers in: Public and Private Accounting, Banking, Financial Services, Investment Broking, Insurance Services.

National Certificate: Management
This certificate will provide opportunities to access careers as: Human Resource Officer, Marketer, Financial Officer, Public Relations Officer, Production and Administration Officer.

National Certificate: Building and Civil Construction
This certificate will open opportunities in Architectural Technology, Drainage Inspection, Quantity Surveying, Town and Regional Planning, Sanitation Engineering, Road Construction Engineering, Civil Construction Engineering, Building Construction.

National Certificate: Engineering and Related Design
This certificate will launch career opportunities in: Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Boilermaking, Automotive Repair and Maintenance, Aerospace Engineering, Tool Making, Fitting and Machining.

National Certificate: Electrical Infrastructure Construction
This certificate will provide successful graduates with employment opportunities in: Electrical Engineering Construction, Industrial Engineering, Sound Technology, Theatre Technology, Process Level Control, Digital Electronics, Instrumentation.

National Certificate: Information Technology and Computer Science
This certificate will open opportunities for successful graduates in: Computer Programming, Information Technology Management, Computer Systems Engineering, Data Processing, Contact Centre Operator.

National Certificate: Primary Agriculture
This certificate will qualify successful graduates to access pursue: Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Food Science, Agricultural Science, Agricultural Bookkeeper, Farm Management, Forester, Botanist, Horticulturist,Viticulturist.

National Certificate: Hospitality
This certificate will provide access to the following careers for successful graduates: House Keeping, Waiters and Waitresses, Hotel Keeper, Chef, Events Management, Accommodation Services.

National Certificate: Tourism
This certificate will provide access to the following employment opportunities: Conference and Events Planner, Tourism Development Officer, Transportation Manager, Travel Counsellor, Game Ranger, Adventure Guide, Safari Operator.
